OUR STORY
I have been trying to get out of Gladewater, Texas my whole life. I was born in the small East Texas town of Gladewater in 1973 and graduated from nearby White Oak, in 1991. I met my wife, Marilyn, who is from a town on the other side of Gladewater, and, after we married, we moved away to join the army. Eventually we returned to Gladewater, where we surrendered to God’s call to Pastor a church south of Gladewater. We served that church for 13 years. We then spent some time on staff at a large church serving as Missions Pastor.
IN HIS TIME, GOD HAS CLEARLY AND BOLDLY CALLED MARILYN AND I BACK TO THE TOWN OF GLADEWATER FOR MINISTRY IN HIS NAME.
We have realized that Gladewater is where the Lord would have us call “home.” The people of Gladewater are our people. God has pre-determined this little Antique Capital of East Texas to be the next place in our ministry. It is indeed the circle of life.

We are in awe of what God has done through Living Water Church! Our church has grown in numbers and membership. We've witnessed several from our church family take a huge step in following Jesus through baptism. Put on countless outreach events where we've served our community, shared the gospel, and seen multiple salvations.
